Armed Forces Optometric Foundation
The AFOS Board has formed a non-profit, 501c3 charitable arm of AFOS called the Armed Forces Optometric Foundation.
Board Members
The corporation shall serve as a philanthropic organization for Federal Service Optometry by soliciting and administering donations to promote optometric education and the management of specific conditions affecting military, PHS/IHS, and veteran patients. To effectuate this mission, the corporation will aim to achieve the following objectives:
• To support and educate federal service optometrists and to further improve the optometric care of patients being served by the DoD, PHS/IHS, and VA;
• To provide scholarships and/or travel grants to Federal Service optometric educators; and
• To support sister organizations which work to further optometric care for DoD, PHS/IHS, and VA patients
