Applications of Adult Learning in Optometry Externship and Residency Programs

This course works to apply Adult Learning concepts to the development of young professionals in the setting of our Optometric practice settings. A focus on the direct application of these concepts will be made pertaining to the elements of the Optometric clinical exam, formulation of clinical treatment plans as well as the growth of both the Doctor/Patient relationship as well as the Doctor/Staff relationship. In addition, this course will also provide tools to improve the generational differences and diverse attributes of young professionals focusing on improved clinical care outcomes.
