Diversity Series free from OPW

The Optometric Physicians of Washington (OPW) invite all AFOS members to participate in their upcoming Diversity series at not cost.

From the OPW:

We have all experienced one of the most challenging years of our lives. Not only has the COVID-19 pandemic emerged as one of the most significant health crisis in a hundred years, but also many States and public health agencies have listed 'racism' as a public health crisis.

OPW is pleased to announce a series of lectures to enhance our ability to see the world through the eyes of someone else.  This series should provide our members with the tools to help us recognize biases in our own behaviors which may impact our ability to achieve the ultimate goal of racial equity, diversity and inclusion in OPW and our society.

It is only fitting that our three - part webinar will begin following the conclusion our most challenging year to equip us with a fresh, new perspectives to start to a more hopeful, healing year. The final lecture will conclude the evening of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Each class will be issued CE individually, so please feel free to attend as you are able. CE credits issued via email, courses are not COPE approved.
