Dr. Mitch Ibach was born and raised in Mandan, North Dakota. He attended North Dakota State University and graduated with a degree in Microbiology in 2009. He then attended the Pacific University College of Optometry where he graduated summa cum laude. Mitch completed his residency training at Minnesota Eye Consultants with a concentration on cornea, refractive surgery, external disease and glaucoma. In September of 2014, he joined Vance Thompson Vision to focus on advanced anterior segment surgery care and pathology. Dr. Ibach maintains a large collaborative glaucoma clinic that focuses on long-term disease care. Dr. Ibach has participated in numerous FDA and industry sponsored clinical trials in the areas of cataracts, cornea, glaucoma, and refractive surgery. Mitch is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a board member with Optometric Cornea Cataract and Refractive Surgery Society (OCCRS), and a member with the American Optometric Association, Optometric Glaucoma Society (OGS) and the South Dakota Optometric Association.
